Hey music snobs! Get ready to bail out of MySpace like rats from a sinking ship! Sure, MySpace has some music sharing features, but there’s a new kid in town. That’s right, Mog is reputed to be a mashup between MySpace and iTunes. According to Reuters:

A test version of the niche social networking site MOG.com launched on Tuesday with the aim of hooking up people based on their taste in music — a sort of Myspace.com for music junkies.

The free site, started by former MTV marketing executive David Hyman with $1.4 million from private investors, requires users to download its application, MOG-O-MATIC.

The site will allow fans of even the most obscure music to hook up, talk about and recommend tunes with geeks of a like mind. Check it out for yourself. Mog.com
