Luckily nobody was home when a 1951 British fighter jet slammed into a Hillsboro neighborhood home around 4:30 PM yesterday.
The pilot was leaving the Hillsboro International Air Show on route to California. He was killed in the impact.
The house impacted was destroyed and two others were set ablaze.
One onlooker commented “The flames shot up like a bolt of lightning.”
Turns out my friend was working right across the street from this when it happened. From his blog, "A plane crashed into a few houses across the street from my work today. Apparently ash from the explosion scattered all over the parking lot. Poor pilot man. At least he was 73 and led a long life. And died doing something he was passionate about."
Airshows: a dangerous, pointless waste of fossil fuel.

WAIT!! I have one:
He was just looking for the Farmer's Market!
Ohhhhhhhh, old people driving jokes, they never get old.
My friend was driving by on the freeway when he saw the plane crash. The worse part was that he was driving his friend to the airport.

I refuse to make a joke about californians. I refuse.
It's really hard.
I can't... I mustn't.
R.I.P. brave pilot!
