Drunk Bar on 82nd Goes Rock/Indie/Punk

Posted by Amy J. Ruiz on Fri, Jul 21 at 9:19 AM

“Yes, we are on 82nd, but don’t be afraid!” says Tina, the new owner of the Red Room (at 2530 NE 82nd, between Brazee and Russell). “We are local musicians that want to make this place an awesome local rock/indie/punk/etc. venue and all around cool place to hang out!”

I haven’t checked it out myself, but I’m all for hanging out on 82nd—and word is they’ve got pool tables, pinball and a full bar. Anybody been there since the ownership changed?

I’ve also got the Florida Room, at 435 N Killingsworth, on my to-check-out list. Two words: Mint Juleps.

We also have pool, pinball, and Guitar hero on the big screen. As well as 12 beers on tap and a full liquor bar!!

Come give us a chance!!

We are also booking, so contact us thru myspace or call 503-256-3399

Mint juleps = not as good as their name / southern romantic conotations would lead you to believe.

Florida Room = Sopranos Pinball and a spacious (&largely unknown) patio. Church of the Bloody Mary!!!

Mint Juleps rock! Perfect for a hot day like today. And I'm neither southern, nor entertain 'southern connotations.'

Umm, Mint Juleps are about about the best drink ever. If they're really good, they can almost taste like water... delciously dangerous. Bring 'em on!
