On our way into the final Sleater-Kinney show at the Crystal Ballroom, my friends and I noticed a disposable camera, abandoned on the sidewalk that had been crowded with show-goers just a few moments earlier. We picked it up, and debated what to do with it—there were still 10 frames remaining. Deciding to turn the found camera into an art project, we elected to finish off the roll during the show—we left that task to the Mercury’s promo wiz, and awesome photographer, Rachael—develop it, and post whatever came out onto Blogtown.
Well, it’s developed. Not a single one of the photos snapped inside the Crystal turned out—there’s one super grainy, dark gray one that’s obviously the stage, but you can’t make out Corin or Carrie. Our theory is that the camera broke and spoiled the second half of the film.
But the first half of the film turned out just fine! Most of the photos—of jubilant Sleater-Kinney fans passing the time waiting until the doors opened—are after the cut. If you know these people, and they’d like their prints and photo CD, have ‘em give me a ring.

oh my god! that is so funny! i was wondering where these pictures went...
