Do you love Halloween? You do!? Me too! It’s my favorite holiday. And if you can’t wait until October to join in on some great Halloween festivities, you don’t have to. Check it out—Baron Von Goolo’s Museum of Horrors is part of the local haunted shindig FrightTown (located in the Exhibit Hall at the Rose Quarter) and they’re looking for people to volunteer NOW to help get their haunted house ready for the 2006 Halloween season. They’re looking for all sorts of people to do all sorts of things. I, of course, am on the Baron’s mailing list, and got an email today regarding things they need help with right now (it’s under the jump, since it’s pretty lengthy). So if you’re interested in helping out and being a part of this fun yearly event, go sign up to be on the mailing list on their website. Oh! And, check this out! If you want to be married by a MONSTER, Baron Von Goolo’s Museum of Horrors offers that too. Shit yeah!

1) Who's up for some prop making and painting this weekend? We'll be at the workshop from 10am-7pm on Saturday and noon to at least 7pm on Sunday. Much painting, plus we're going to be making some of the many dummy bodies we need for the Museum. Like Flair Jason, that works at TGI Friday the 13th's in the Food Court of the Damned, and the Evil Clowns for Evil Clowns On Ice.2) Do any of you know how to upholster? We're reupholstering Evil Santa's throne for this year's Evil Santa Land and Ray is doing such a nice job refitting it that I thought it would be nice to reupholster it "for real."
3) Does anybody have one of those folding tent canopies that provides a little makeshift shade? They look like this: http://tinyurl.com/qajsg
If so, could we use it at the workshop for the next two weekends? With temps still in the 90s one or two of those would be a godsend while we're painting. Let me know and I'll come get it. Thanks!
(A lead on a really cheap rental is good too!)
4) A lot of you (especially a lot of new recruits) mentioned "set painting" among the things you like to do. We're going to be painting a number of new facade pieces for the Museum starting on Sunday. Who's up for that?
5) How talented are your friends? We're setting up a stage in The Taint at FrightTown this season and we're looking for performers of all shapes and sizes to ply their trades on the rubes. They only need to fit 2 criteria; they can't be dirty (PG13 max) and they have to not suck. Bands, DJs, karaoke DJs, acrobats, stilt walkers, dancers, ventriloquists and a million acts I can't even think of. Not the guy that lifts the cinderblock with his sack, though. If I never see that again it'll be too soon.
6) What do think Question 7 will be?
7) Does anybody have an air conditioning unit that they'd trust to us in order to chill the Evil Clowns On Ice room? We wouldn't need it until early October.
8) Did you guess Question 6 right? Really? Wow. Do you kiss your mama with that lying mouth?
9) Who's got connections that can hook us up with LCD or DLP projectors? New, used or refurbished - it's all good. We need one in the Taint and two in the Museum this year.
So, if any of this interests you, go sign up to volunteer at Baron Von Goolo's Museum of Horrors
Maybe, just maybe, you're wondering how come you're so privileged as to receive this communiqué. Well, answer is simple, thanks to www.google.com and through the search words "blog" and "'Lenny Bruce'", I found the u.r.l to your website.
After perusing your website, I conjectured you'd be interested in my post titled, "sweetest nookie". In this post, you'll find some notions about how Lenny, were he around today, might comment about the recent kerfuffle in the Middle East.
Anyway, you'll find the hyperlink to the post just below

Why should I be married by a monster, when I'm already married TO one? Ba-boom-boom-crash! Thank you all for coming, drive safely.
