Film Gob: Return From Whence You Came!

Posted by Erik Henriksen on Thu, Oct 26 at 2:30 PM

If I were to make a list of TV shows that I love, it would be a long list. I like TV a lot. But up near the top of that list would be Arrested Development, Fox’s painfully short-lived sitcom that was one of the funniest and smartest shows to ever hit the airwaves. But why am I telling you this? You are smart. You like to laugh. You already know all about how great Arrested Development was, and you, like me, you now blindly stumble about in this gray, silent world, your fragile soul still smarting from the hole that was slowly and cruelly torn from it by dipshit Fox executives.

And also, you’re probably desperate for any and all new things that’re even vaguely related to Arrested Development—and especially so with the show’s best character, Gob. So, hey, how about that! Gob’s in a movie!

Ugh. Fuck. Granted, nothing’s gonna be as good as the screenplay I wrote for Gob—which I cleverly titled Gob: The Movie! Co-Starring George Michael and Buster!—but this just looks horrible. Early word on it is that there won’t be any press screenings, either. I’ll say it again: Ugh. Fuck. Before we get too depressed, let’s remind ourselves of the good times.

Good times. Good times.
