I have a Ghostbusters ringtone. For some reason, girls aren’t that impressed by it, but whatever: The Ghostbusters are excellent. That was the case when I was four, and it’s still the case now that I’m 26.
So earlier this week, when the intenets got all buzzy about a possible new Ghostbusters videogame, I got all sorts of excited. There were articles on AICN, Gamespot, and Kotaku about a bunch of YouTubes that showed off a Ghostbusters game for the Xbox 360, and one that looked pretty rad to boot. (The last Ghostbusters game I remember playing was on my friend Chad’s Atari c. 1988. And that game blew.)
I think it’s pretty doubtful that this game is going to happen—it looks like the developer just started making it, then released these videos to try and convince Sony (which owns the license) to give them the actual go-ahead to do so—but it’d be great if it did. Yeah, okay, so such a game wouldn’t make my ringtone any more socially acceptable. But still.
