Wow. Never knew that Ikea Lad bears such a close resemblance to Al Qaeda. Telling.

In any event, all of that is just subterfuge for the real message: Jim Karlock's alien masters from Vega 3 compel him, against his will and despite all of his accumulated wisdom, to denounce Tri-Met and regional planning yet again. His life is an unending agony.
