Remember that Decemberists green screen video contest that spawned the rath of Stephen Colbert? Of course you do, and now that the dust has settled between the band and Colbert, a winning director was been announced. Kurt Nishimura, a student at The Art Institute of Portland, beat out a gazillion other potential directors, taking home the grand prize of a “brand new iMac courtesy of Capitol Records.”

WHAT?

I mean, an iMac is nice and all, but is Capitol that broke from handing out Payola?

Anyway, you can watch the video here.

Damn. That's a weak ass prize.

p.s beth diito from gossip just did a duet with jarvis cocker at the nme music awards. that is HUGE. why the fuck arent you guys writing about that?

Because I don't read NME. That is fucking huge, I'm looking in to it...

Christy: Trader Joe's is having a sale on 16 oz. cans of tomato paste. Why the FUCK aren't you over there buying some now?

they are also on the cover of the nme right now and have sold something like 60,000 singles of standing in the way of control in the uk alone. so yeah, it's crazy and huge and awesome. who knew people still bought singles?!

im allergic to tomatoes, i get really bad shits.....thanks though!
