Music Don Ho: R.I.P.

Posted by Wm. Steven Humphrey on Mon, Apr 16 at 1:19 PM

Lovers of cheesy 70s lounge are mourning today the loss of Hawaii’s favorite son, DON HO, who passed away this weekend at the ripe old age of 76 (yet was still performing as of last Thursday!). Of course, Don is synonymous with Hawaiian culture and his signature hit, “TINY BUBBLES”—but look what Idolator dug up! It’s a very crazy, and weirdly enjoyable version of Don singing Peter Gabriel’s “SHOCK THE MONKEY.” Kind of sounds like a singing stroke victim, but delicious all the same! Rest in peace, Don!
LISTEN TO “SHOCK THE MONKEY” HERE.
