I just learned today that Valentine’s (232 SW Ankeny) hosts “drawing parties” on the first and third Tuesdays of every month. Has anybody been to this? Is this Royal Art Lodge style, where people doodle a bit, then pass their drawings around, and doodle on other people’s drawings, or what? The press release says “If you’re in the mood to draw, drink beers, eat food, talk with friends, or all of the aforementioned then come by around 7:30 pm and hang with us for a while.” This sounds fun. Does anybody have more of a scoop? Do I need to check it out and report back to everyone?
