Music Velella Velella

While their album does not hit the streets until “Summer 2007,” here is a little peak at the latest Hush Records band, Velella Velella. Part of Hush’s keen globalization takeover, Velella x2 is from Seattle, a rare non-PDX band on the label’s mostly-local roster.

But Ezra, what do they sound like? Local answer: A tiny bit like labelmates Dat’R, but not really all that much. National answer: Sea and Cake trading the lounge for some dancefloor !!! action.

Calling me a liar? Take a listen to Do Not Fold/Do Not Bend.

From the band’s MySpace page: “We’re proud to announce that Velella Velella has been signed to Hush records! You may have noticed Hush included in our top 8…”

It's soooo good to see this band get the attention they deserve..serious rockin' goes on with thems..I would totes pay $35 just to look at thier album cover for a minute..the one guy who wear the glasses with the mirrors in them looks like Ill Mitch with even a bigger pants buldge..OMG!..I love it!
