Fashion Who Wore It Worst?

Posted by Marjorie Skinner on Tue, Apr 24 at 10:44 AM

I know it’s not really fair to pick on celebrities for the clothes they know nothing about and are persuaded to wear by underqualified and overpaid “experts,” but the threat of high waisted pants has already picked off a couple of the weaker ones in the herd, begging the question of who wore it worst? J. Simpleton or Mischa? You decide:

Remember that fake ad on SNL for "Mom Jeans" - they both look like they're heading for the soccer field.

I disagree that these styles are anything like "Mom jeans"--mom jeans have high waists, made of cheap denim, have weird pleats and 9 times out of 10, tapered ankles. BUT, both these girls look TERRIBLE. Those pants that Jessica is rocking aren't too bad in and of themselves, but that awful white bodysuit with the faux turtleneck and the noticeable braline and those massive breasts...well, lets just say NOT the body type nor the correct top for the bottom.

I know how many feel about this style and granted some of the high waist styles (like Mischa's shorts par example) just truly miss the boat, but when they are right, they are right. The people that can't admit it probably still wear clothing with stars, deer and birdies on it.

mischa looks all fucking mixed up, but i happen to think jessica's pants are way cute. with a different top and a different face this could be a good look.

Hey, if they increase the chances of camel toe like high waisted pants from the 1970s and 1980s did, I'm all for them.
