Portland Carnal Knowledge

Posted by Amy J. Ruiz on Mon, May 14 at 2:20 PM

While doing research on PortlandMaps.com, I found this definition for rape on the crime maps:

The carnal knowledge of a female, forcibly and against her will. Attempts are included.

Hmm. Time to update the books! Under Oregon law, anyone can be a rape victim—not just women.

Either that or it's open season on dudes.

According to some statistics I've seen, such as those from Stop Prison Rape, more men are raped in prison every year in the United States than are women on the outside. 240,000 per year according to that source.

And everyone knows what a ha-ha funny joke prison rape always is...kinda like when you see a girl hit a guy on TV, and it's always funny...

I really don't know where you're going with this, Cabbie, but thanks for pointing out the horrible reality of prison rape, which remains sadly under the public's radar.

People who think prison rape is funny should watch Oz and then reconsider. Eek that show was hard.
