I think it’s supposed to be funny?
Anyone with insight is welcome to get in touch. Thanks to Banana Lee Fishbones at Metblogs for the link!
Yes, or perhaps they're just wankers, I can't figure it out.
You mean the Colbert reference? Or its total lack of information? Or what, like, in general?
I think I mean, like, in general. I think that's how I mean it. Mmmyesss.
Worth noting that the writers of that blog are OregonLive staffers, not Oregonian writers. Different branches of the same corporation, true, but different offices, bosses, etc.
Doesn't make the thing make sense, mind: just a wrinkle.
I'm still stuck on Idaho's Portugal. WTF is that?
Idaho's Portugal is Oregon. Its geographic location is the same as Portugal's to Spain. Get it? No? That's probably because you're "inane."
Oregon is Idaho's Portugal.
We are also California's Canada, or perhaps more accurately; Washington's Mexico!
I wish I had posted my response 63 seconds faster.
Right, and Oregon is SO LIKE Spain. Or Portugal. Or, whatever.
And Dan, yeah, I saw that on Colbert already. It was funny last year.
DOH!
Lelo,
You're razor sharp wit is simply mind boggling.
Who'd you high-five while yelling "burn!" after you hit the post button?
Dan, that high-five went to my maltipoo, Wink. But it comes after your egg-cellent use of the apostrophe in You're instead of the possessive Your. And that's all yours baby.
Yesssssss!
;)
Ahhhh yes, my use of the apostrophe when writing your. A common problem of mine when using the English language.
I have others too, including but not limited to; eternally spelling the words "necessary" and "restaurant" wrong the first time and ending sentences with prepositions.
Nevertheless, credit should go where credit is due, so hats off to you and Wink for your astute observation of my limited grammar skills!
Stay focused, people: WE ARE SLAGGING OREGONLIVE, here.
Slagging? Not sure whether to laugh because of your terrible British accent or because you likely majored in English. Either way, HA!
Mikelovesme: You're right, I'm British. And I have an English degree with first class honors from Sussex University, and a postgrad with distinction in periodical journalism from the London College of Printing.
Any more questions?
Hi. Cool design. Keep up the good.
Thank you!

perhaps they are commenting on how inane some of pm's writing can be?
