She was one of those characters who had one foot in the days where careers in fashion were a trapping of the debutante class, and one stuck in the modern world, where she constantly fretted about money. Her life was actually pretty sad, having had her two-year-old brother die of drowning, a suicidal grandfather, and her own previous attempt to kill herself last May. Diagnosed with ovarian cancer, she jumped off a London freeway overpass and broke both of her legs. Now, just got word via this WWD report that the coroner has ruled her death (she was only 48) as a suicide—bizarrely, she killed herself by ingesting a weed killer.
