Sports The NBA Playoffs Are Amazing

After last year’s Dwyane-Wade-fouled-on-every-play NBA finals, I lost a lot of faith in post-season basketball. Thankfully the Golden State vs Dallas series, which concluded last night with a 111-86 Warriors victory, renewed my faith in how absolutely amazing the NBA playoffs can be.

Now the real question is, how long will the scrappy underdogs of Golden State last? One more round? Victim of the Suns or Spurs? NBA Championship? Only Baron Davis’ beard knows for sure.

Fuck that shit.

Agreed Ezra. Always nice to see the underdog win. If Houston wins the seventh and deciding game against Utah, I think Golden State will pummel the Rockets.

Do NOT cross Don Nelson-that was some of the gnarliest revenge I've ever seen last night. Only way this could have been better is if they could have done it to the spurs.

Stephen Jackson, the biggest piece of shit in the NBA currently, is on that team. Mainly because of that I find them hard to root for.

Oh, I forgot Ron Artest. Tie.

Stephen Jackson is the only thing I like about the Warriors right now...

Dude used to hoop it up at Lincoln High.

ah, i love love love that both those jerk-ass teams from last year's finals are out. stephen jackson will be caustic for any team in the long run, but i can suspend my distaste for the time being.

I like their chances... They're a fun team to watch, I hope they stick around for awhile. But we all know the Pistons are going to take it all!

Don't wanna boast but... TOTALLY called this series before it started. No, I wasn't rooting for the 'laundry' or shooting for the aw-what-the-hell prediction... the Warriors have been on a roll since the trade and they OWNED Dallas all year. They look as good as any team right now and I wouldn't put it past them to make the finals or come damn close.

But yeah, you're right Ezra... this year's playoffs just seem better than recent seasons. It seemed it would be that way when the matchups were announced... I think teams 1 thru 8 in each conference are better than in recent years. Hell, some teams who missed the playoffs could have beaten 7 or 8 seeds from previous years. (Blazers, Hornets, Clippers come to mind). Also, I think there was a needed shot of new blood. Warriors of course, but what about Toronto? The Jazz? Even Houston. They think fans only want to see Kobe and Wade, but everyone is excited to see the Bay Area hyped over the Warriors again.
