What's the "weighty question" around thousands of pounds of pigs blood? Other than, why is pigs blood measured in pounds, not gallons?

Weighty question? Like how did the truck "break" and dump "thousands of pounds" of pig blood on the road near Klamath Falls?

And how could the O miss the "Carrie" reference?

(I suspect its measured in pounds rather than gallons because hauling trucks have a pound weight requirement they must meet in order to haul on the roads)
