In honor of John Doe performing at Dante’s tonight, here is a clip of Doe and X blazing through a very raw performance of “Los Angeles.”

My lord, that band was amazing.

Yeah, they were amazing, but couldn't they have just not loved the Doors. Every time I think I really love them, I picture Ray Manzarek in the studio and it makes me want to vomit.

I saw X live at the Starry Night in I think it was 1984 and my ears are still ringing. They were fabulous.
