Persistence: Don’t Quit!

After teaching the disciples to pray, Jesus said, “Suppose one of you shall have a friend, and shall go to him at midnight, and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves … and from inside he shall answer and say, ‘Do not bother me; the door has already been shut and my children and I are in bed; I cannot get up and give you anything.’ I tell you, even though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will get up and give him as much as he needs.” Luke 11:5-8

Please Pray …
• That Christians throughout Oregon will discern the great threat to marriage, and impoverishment of morality, if HB 2007 and SB 2 become law in our state on January 1, 2008
• That we will believe from the heart that with God’s help, we CAN thwart this evil by acting together on behalf of our children, our neighbors, and our communities
• That we will be of a mind to work, and have faith to step forward
• That pastors and church leaders will be moved by the Holy Spirit to call their congregations and entire denominations to sign and circulate the two petitions
• That 1000 Christians in Oregon will get 9 family and friends to sign each petition with them
• That 1000 of the 2500 Christ centered Churches in Oregon will get 75 members of their congregations to sign each petition
• That Gods people rise up with willing hearts, believing minds, and nimble hands
• That we do so timely, happily, and joyfully, and in so doing …
• That Our LORD and Savior would be Glorified
• That His Name would be Exalted once more amongst men, and that …
• Many would come to Him as the well of Living Water, as the Keeper of their souls, and the Lifter of their heads

Awaken us Dear LORD. Bring glory to Your Name through Your people. Remove the blinders from our eyes to see that You are able to accomplish the difficult, do the impossible, even the unbelievable, if Your people will simply persist in prayer.
