Music Blitzen Trapper sign to Sub Pop

According to Pitchfork, Blitzen Trapper has just inked a deal with Sub Pop. The band recently self-released the splendid Wild Mountain Nation last month, and no word yet on if the Seattle label will re-release it. Congrats guys!

nice! and to think they just wrestled a defenseless interviewer to the ground for alluding to this very thing. heh.

i don't get it? why? why do un original bands that don't push any limits get signed?
