Time to project some love on one of my favorite records of 2007:
Justice’s † (that’s a symbol for a cross, just in case your computer rejects fancy keystrokes, or blatant Christian imagery) is the hipster dance record of the summer, thanks to the flawless single “D.A.N.C.E.,” and the dozens of remixes of said track, the majority of which are wildly available online. On the song, the playful vocals and crunching beat have to compete with a bass line so thick, the sucker should be illegal. But evidentially they don’t have bass-related crimes in France, where the band is from.
Gas up the whip, because Justice is only playing in San Francisco (Oct. 10th) and Seattle (Oct. 12th). Hmm, what’s that? A day off between shows and a band passing through Portland to get to their next destination? Hey Justice, October 11th dance party at my house, you are invited, so that means you have to come. Thems the rules.
