Tonight is the CD Release party for Church Mouth, the excellent new recording from local (via Alaska) band, Portugal the Man.
If you are not familiar with their odd little world of art-punk melodies, ’70s rock and just about anything else they can muster up, this video should help you out. The song is from their previous record, the oddly titled Waiter: “You Vultures”, and it features a creepy puppet, flaming disco ball and a lovely road trip with a very considerate bear, who is nice enough to take the wheel, pay for gas and clean the windshield. I wish all videos, and road trips, were like this:
