So they say it’s “with permission,” but I have a hard time believing this is all on the straight-and-narrow. Nevertheless, Michael Moore’s Sicko is available for free viewing online, with part one here and part two here.
Amy J. Ruiz’s review of the film is here, and I’ll throw my two cents in too, because that’s what I do: This movie’s pretty excellent. You should watch it. And now you have no excuse not to, considering it’s… well, free.

I never liked President Bush. Now I know how evil the American Republican party is. The Democrats are not a lot better; slightly lesser of the two evils.
I was taught from a very young age I think Kindergarten actually... Maybe first grade... "A is the first letter of the alphabet; A is also the first letter of America. So the way we remember A is the first letter of the alphabet is because we remember that America is number 1 and the best." I remember being told that we are lucky to live in America and not to have been born in any other country. SHEW!!! Now I know better.
This film has also taught me not to hate other people just because of where they are from. We are taught as Americans to fear other countries and to hate many of them. Well, maybe one day we'll be as good as Cuba.
I worked for Kaiser Permanente when my child was born... One day before my benefits kicked in she was born, till this day we cannot buy a home and can barely rent an apartment because our credit is ruined from it... The kicker? We actually had health coverage from our former employer Walt Disney World (in Florida)-yes we moved to California and continued our coverage under COBRA.
Kaiser Permanente is a horrible organization, but they are good at keeping their people fairly happy... Well, at least the union is. We had good medical coverage with them and I made alright pay... Not nearly enough to listen to people call upset because their care was denied or how a 90 year old lady had to make it to Kaiser several different times to see if they would approve a standard wheelchair... Which after deductible and co-payment still wasn't really affordable...
My one ailment which is hearburn (not to bad) was taken care of for free by Kaiser (other than my doctor visit co payment) But, after The Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage went into effect with the Medicare Modernization Act or MMA for short I had to start paying for my heartburn medication to help offset the cost of Part D.
Yes, I also spoke with people that were really happy because they were "getting" health insurance. However, as soon as they completed their application I could look and see (but could not say) that their application was denied electronically by the computer.
I'm sure my friends in the Kaiser Permanente Member Services Call Center on California Ave in Corona California as well as those in Stockton California are going to take a lot of heat over this. I just wish I knew what that standard form response will be... Maybe I'll call and find out...
If anyone needs help getting through KP's California Thriving red tape to get their claims paid, I have some tips. Just let me know your situation. hthwdwmgm@aim.com
Because of this film I have decided I am going to leave this country. I'm sure it will be difficult, but sounds like it will be much worth it.
Is anyone blessed enough to host a web site in which the secrets can be shared for all to see?
