Be cool Ezra. Be cool. Be cool… HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!

The new Bruce Springsteen song is TOTALLY AMAZING.

MP3: Bruce Springsteen - Radio Nowhere

The song is the first single from Magic, out October 2nd. And yeah sure, it’s the same “old rocker complaining about the state of modern radio” lyrics (Tom Petty and Neil Young did it too, plus countless others), but in the song The Boss finally sounds like he has that fire burning inside him once again. It’s about damn time.

HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!

Wow, between this and the Seeger Sessions I'm thinking somehow the real Bruce Springsteen escaped from wherever he was being held captive since 1990 and overpowered that cheesy guy who was claiming to be him. Thanks for posting this.

I am so fucking stoked about this song and I cannot wait for the new album.

And Grant, your comment is on the money!

Uhh, The Ghost of Tom Joad? Streets of Philadelphia? The '90s weren't so bad.

I didn't even know that he had changed his name to "Magic" - where have I been?

Rob, we're talking about "Human Touch" and "Lucky Town." I don't LOVE "Tom Joad." But "The Rising" is 3/4 rad. I wish I liked "Devils and Dust" more.

your brother in Bruce,

Dave

I saw him, solo and acoustic, on the Tom Joad tour, which was great...however, there were certain points, well into the show, when I wanted him to just kick over the fucking harmonica stand and rock the shit. Ah well. Thanks for posting this, I'm excited for the album. Maybe Bruce will finally get some hipster cred now that Arcade Fire is ripping off Nebraska for half their act.

I'd agree with Rob's comment and say apart from HT and LT you've still got some great stuff in the catalog (and I still can't stop listening to the Live In Dublin recording).
