This tipster, Corey from SE Portland, doesn’t name Zoobomb directly, but I can’t think of too many other bike groups who congregate in the West Hills on Sunday nights…
Last Sunday night, I witnessed one of the biggest wastes of tax-payer dollars I have ever seen. There was a group of 5-10 police officers setting up a sting at a stop sign inside the Washington Park road to catch a group of bicyclists going through a stop sign, on a deserted road, at 11pm on a Sunday night, in the West Hills. This is ridiculous on so many levels. There are real crimes being committed in this city, and there are neighborhoods which have a far greater need of police presence than the West Hills. With our police force already understaffed, this seems like a huge waste of tax dollars and police manpower. As a side note, the same night, I witnessed a crack deal going down in Old Town, followed by a car swerving around doing 90mph on Hwy 26. Where are the police? Hiding at a stop sign in the middle of the night, giving tickets to bicyclists riding down a closed park road in Portland’s wealthiest neighborhood. I am sick of hearing of police resources being wasted on giving tickets to bicycle riders when real and dangerous crimes continue, unabated.
The bombers’ forum mentions stings from the previous two Sundays, here.
I wonder why you ruin my impending dinner with pictures of poo on the blog.
who fucking cares, talk about the transformers movie
Cops get to be douches if they want to. (sadly)
The end.
We have had these issues since day one. Stop being a crybaby. It will go away as soon as summer is over. Think about what Zoobomb is. We are far from Angels.
I've seen some cops at the circle in ladd's too. it's a steep ticket I've heard: $250! ouch. I've decided running a stop sign is a bad idea and now look at constantly stopping and restarting as a chance to work on those all important fast twitch muscles. glad to know the west hills are safe though. evil cyclists!
if we don't catch bicyclists the terrorists win

Yes, I wonder why Corey makes out that it's just a random group of bicyclists when it's clearly the bombers?
