Thanks to Cinematical for alerting me to the existence of the international trailer for Cassandra’s Dream, Woody Allen’s next film. (Forgive the French subtitles.)
Personally, I think it looks like it could be pretty great—way more Match Point than Scoop, in other words, which is the direction I’d like to see Allen go in. (Can we just forget about everything he made from ‘98-‘04, except for Sweet and Lowdown and maybe—maybe—Deconstructing Harry?) But who am I kidding—I’ll see anything if Allen’s name is on it, for better or for worse. That’s what happens when one sees Annie Hall at age 14, and their life changes drastically as a result.
