Film Blade Runner: The Final Cut Coming to Portland.

Posted by Erik Henriksen on Thu, Oct 11 at 11:48 AM

Portland is insanely lucky to have Cinema 21. It’s one of the best theaters in town—if not the best—and they show a ton of badass stuff. Continuing the trend: I just got word that the eagerly-anticipated Blade Runner: The Final Cut (which I blogged about a little while ago right here) will play at the theater for two weeks starting on Friday, October 26. Start getting excited right about… now.

Nice.

It's not on the C21 website... Can it be true?

Yeah! Sources please.

I got the info this a.m. in a press release from a publicist who handles a lot of films in Portland, including plenty at Cinema 21. So regardless of whether or not C21's website has been updated with the info, it comes from what we in the newspaperin' biz call a "reliable source." (And c'mon, guys. I might lie about a lot of stuff, but I wouldn't ever lie about Blade Runner. Ever.)

Sweet Baby Jesus! I think I now believe in God!

I commented too quickly. Should've said "it's not yet on the C21 site." I regret the error.

But, more importantly: Fuckin' A.

w00t,
this is good news. I think I will have to go, its been forever since I have seen it on a big screen.
thanks
Patrick
