Drunk Bar Cam: Pro or Con?

Posted by Courtney Ferguson on Wed, Nov 14 at 12:22 PM

Trolling the internets the other day I came across the website for Claudia’s on Hawthorne. Watching many a World Series game there, I can safely say that I’ve been on the south side of sober a couple times at their fine establishment. So it was rather shocking to see a new (as yet functioning) feature on their website… the bar cam. The possibility that my mother could watch me via web cam while I was out drinking sent a jolt of total horror through my being.

Yet on the side of the coin, I’m fascinated by web cams around town. Like the awesome one at the DEQ. I could watch that shit forever. What’s everyone think about the bar cam?

It's certainly cheaper than hiring a private eye to spy on my wife.

I think it's funny. And I think it's good.

When I'm on vacation, I like to check restaurant/bar cams to get a better idea of where I should eat/drink. Sometimes it's difficult to stroll around and peek into places.

Oh no. Oh nononononono. NOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Two words.

Karey. Okey.

There's hardly any line at the NE DEQ station right now. Sweet.

That is a coooool idea! however, it isn't working yet! :(

I too am strangely fasinated by the DEQ cams. Weird!

How about a "Crack Cam" in Old Town
