Can't go wrong with a philodendron. Easy to grow/maintain, really lush and "planty"

I really like the plant store on E Burnside. I think it's in between 33rd and 28th. The guy there knows his plants and can set you up.

Also, Terreriums (or however you spell them) are good for offices and you can create little minnie landscapes in them.

Plastic. No watering required. Dust occassionally.

if it is for Scott's desk Amorphophallus might be appropriate... if for yours, maybe a violet. you seem like a "Pere la Violette" kind of guy
