Drunk Pi-rem closing

Posted by Alison Hallett on Tue, Nov 27 at 12:14 PM

We’re a little behind with this news, but about a week and a half ago downtown art/electronica space (or “hybrid galley and lounge,” as they call themselves) Pi-Rem announced that they’ll be shutting their doors as of Dec. 16th:

From: Pi-rem Date: November 17, 2007 2:50:21 AM PST To: “Pi r” Subject: Pi-rem closes December 16th 2007

It is with a saddened heart that we’d like to inform you that Pi-rem will shut its doors to the public on December 16. Due to some shifting priorities and personal choices - we deem it best not to continue. It has been a gratifying and fun project, and we wish to thank everyone for their continued support and patronage.

We are in the midst of planning some fun, exciting nights so we hope that you will join us in enjoying the final days over the next month. Please check our website regularly to find out about what we have planned.

Again, it has been a privilege and a pleasure to entertain and host you & we thank you for making yourself a part of Pi-rem & letting Pi-rem be a part of you.

Best,
The Folks At Pi-rem

So drop in soon to say goodbye to what MSN City Guides (somewhat bafflingly) declared to be the third best new bar in the country in 2006. Pi-rem is located at 433 NW 4th—for a little while, anyway.
