Film First Five Minutes of Alien vs. Predator: Requiem.

Posted by Erik Henriksen on Tue, Dec 11 at 5:12 PM

Can you feel it? We’re in the midst of the holiday Oscar season, cinephiles, when studios trot out all the films that they hope critics will love: Juno, Atonement, Charlie Wilson’s War, The Kite Runner, The Savages, Margot at the Wedding.

Clearly confident in the film’s quality, Twentieth Century Fox is releasing Alien vs. Predator: Requiem on Christmas this year—and just in case you couldn’t tell from that fancy word in the title, this AVP is aiming at taking home more than a few golden statues come award time. AICN notes that the first five minutes of the film are now available for free online. (Click on the little button in the lower right hand corner to expand the screen.) As expected, the National Society of Film Critics is already heaping praise upon the footage. Enjoy, cinema lovers.

Comments

It's probably just me, but watching the first few minutes I kept expecting a punchline. The timing of all the shots felt really comic. Am I alone?

They keep bringing back Ripley when they should be bringing back Hudson. "I say we grease this rat-fuck, son of a bitch right now!"
