How’s your Christmas going? Mine got off to a good start last night when I accidentally deleted my dad’s entire iPhoto library of about 3000 shots. “Not to worry,” I said. “Where’s your backup?”

[stony silence]

[mum’s voice from downstairs]: “Dinner’s ready!”

…still, he’s talking to me again now. And we even managed to eat Christmas lunch without mentioning it. After the entree was out of the way the whole family sat down to watch the Queen’s Speech before pudding—a regular Christmas tradition in this country for 50 years. Here’s our telly:
