This year we celebrate the 25th anniversary of my very first home computer, the Commodore 64, which I still love nearly as much as my first car (but only because my 64 never got me laid). Check out this hilarioso Commodore 64 commercial from 1982!
And the one after the jump is even better (even though it looks like it was ripped from a malfunctioning Beta machine). I really want this guy to come up with an ad for the Mercury!
All I remember from our old Commodore is that we had a toothbrushing game (you'd furiously destroy gum disease with rapid-fire mouse clicks) and that the computer was damn heavy. That is something a computer should be remembered for, it's spine-snapping weight.
Way to make me feel old. The Commie-64 was also my first computer. As teenager, I made the fateful choice of buying the computer over buying a car. Fortunately, I had already lost my virginity.

Check out this hilarious commercial for the Commodore Vic-20 (the predecessor to the C64) starring none other than William Shatner -- in a fuzzy v-neck sweater.
