Right. So tomorrow night is the season premiere of Lost (ABC, 9 PM), in which hopefully we’ll discover why “future Jack” is so hell-bent on getting back to the island (and if Kate will remove her top to flag down the rescue helicopter). But TONIGHT is “catch up” night, when ABC presents last season’s crazy-ass finale—but with “pop-up content.” Let’s let the NYT explain…
ABC is labeling its revamped finale “Lost, Enhanced,” and it will include explanations of characters and events that will slide up in a bar of text at the bottom of the screen. So if Jack (Matthew Fox) is in the middle of a confrontation with Ben (Michael Emerson), the running text commentary may explain that this is not Jack’s first encounter with Ben, or that Ben was first known as Henry Gale.
So for those of you who are afraid to leap into the new season without knowing what’s going on, tonight is the night for you. (Otherwise, consider yourself the odd person out at the water cooler on Friday morning… SUCKAH!)

At least the wait is over! Now to figure out how to set my VCR for the first time in years!
