The new vegan mini-mall on SE Stark is officially up and running—clothing store Herbivore had their grand opening celebration over the weekend, while Food Fight!, Scapegoat Tattoo, and Sweetpea Bakery are all open as well. I live in the neighborhood and am mostly super excited about Sweetpea: Yummy vegan baked goods, Stumptown Coffee, and a “light breakfast and lunch menu.” And they’re open ‘til 8! Suck it, Crema.
SE 12th & Stark for all your vegan needs.
Plus! A few blocks away at SE 12th & Oak, work is underway on the Red and Black Cafe’s new location—a sign on the door promises they’ll be open in two weeks.
how can it possibly be that a coffeehouse-ish sort of place can be applauded for being open until 8 in this god-forsaken town?! how come we can't be a city full of adults and stay up past curfew and have coffee shops open until, say, midnight?! other places in town thrive being open late... all two of them...
it is just baffling to me.
where are the coffee shops that are open late?! i am in constant search for a not-bar that you can actually sit and study in (while purchasing food/coffee) ...
I believe Coffee Time in NW on 21st and Lovejoy(?) is open pretty late.
