I’m not at all sure if posting ABOUT poetry violates Blog Town’s “No Poetry” rule. I guess I’ll find out on Monday, when I come to work to find my desk occupied by a younger, more energetic arts writer, with brighter eyes and a shinier coat. Sometimes I wish we had an HR department.
Literary Arts’ Poetry Downtown series kicks off tonight with a reading by the Indonesian-born poet Li-Young Lee, author of the American Book Award-winning memoir The Winged Seed: A Remembrance.
Just to be on the safe side, I’m going to link to a couple of his poems, rather than pasting them. Go here for some poetical goodness.
