Film Teaser for M. Night Shyamalan’s The Happening.

Posted by Erik Henriksen on Mon, Feb 4 at 3:05 PM

awwwwwwwkward.jpgI desperately want M. Night Shyamalan’s new movie to be good. And maybe—especially considering Lady in the Water—I’m being overly optimistic, here, but I think it might be. After the stumbles of The Village and Lady in the Water, with The Happening, Shyamalan has to prove himself like he hasn’t since The Sixth Sense. No longer Hollywood’s wunderkind (that Newsweek prediction didn’t quite work out, did it?), Shyamalan has got to be feeling the pressure on this one. Hopefully he’ll deliver. Partly because I’d love to see another kickass Shyamalan picture, and mostly because I’d like to stop having to make excuses when people see my DVD shelves and realize I have every one of the dude’s major movies. Even the one about the magical naked albino who lives in a swimming pool’s drainpipe.

Ok, I get it. New York is actually isolated from the rest of the world via a a forest and a large wall. The creature is just William Hurt in a bed sheet.

So fucking scary.

Zooey Deschanel is in it so I'll be watching.

it reminds me of a 70's or early 80's movie where people were committing suicide randomly. anyone know the name of that one? I think it was due to aliens.

Throw water on them!!!!
