Portland WHAT IS TIM ROBBINS DOING IN PORTLAND?!

Posted by Erik Henriksen on Thu, Feb 28 at 3:39 PM

This HOT SCOOP just came in from Amy J. Ruiz of the Portland Mercury NewsTeam™!

Just spotted [Tim Robbins] leaving city hall with an entourage, and getting into a red SUV. Must have been meeting with the film office?

Oh, Amy. Poor, naďve Amy. Why, yes, I’m sure to your innocent eyes, Amy, it might have just been a “meeting with the film office.” Because we all know he wouldn’t be up to anything else, would he? Like… awkwardly campaigning for John Edwards? (YOU’RE TOO LATE, TIM ROBBINS! GET WITH THE TIMES!) Like… being a douchebag with a ponytail? (HEY, PONYTAIL! GET A HAIRCUT! LLOYD DOBLER WILL BEAT YOUR ASS!)

Or is Tim Robbins in Portland for reasons that are EVEN MORE NEFARIOUS?

Beware, Portlanders. Tim Robbins is about. Beware.

And the guitarist for TV on the Radio was just spotted at New Seasons on Interstate. Apparently he's just visiting a friend.

In perfect Portland style, all of us were both excited to see him, and totally left his ass alone, figuring he would appreciate that.

My roommate saw him at Kelly's Olympian last week.

He's filing for Sten's city council seat.

It's almost March, so why haven't we yet seen the casting for this movie?

my friend saw tim in a booth with susan sarandon at the NW sushi land.

saw him at Powell's downtown on Sat nite

Just spotted him at Magic Garden in Chinatown...wooooo.

Tim came into Cabaret last night to scout (prowl) for "actresses that will take their clothes off" for the film he is shooting here this spring.

Apparently, he found some willing talent, because shortly after he left the bar, two of the dancers he was 'auditioning' got dressed and followed him out.

So...Tim is doing his own casting these days? Perhaps they were short staffed and he volunteered to do some of the dirty work? How nice of him.
