Mikey Merrill of Urban Honking has crafted a handy flow chart, visually explaining who’s running for city commissioner and mayoral seats. It’s quite useful if you’re confused about who’s running for which seat, and who the frontrunners are. (That’s partially my fault, seeing as how I “have decided to treat all the candidates equally, which means you’ll hear from the irrelevant (but possibly more entertaining) crazies** as much as the legitimate candidates,” says Mikey. Check out his entry for the definition of “crazies.”)

His first entry, about commissioner seat #2—Erik Sten’s seat—is up here. And the entire flow chart is here, as a PDF. It’s already a tad out of date, as there are two new mayoral candidates. We might see more new candidates before the March 11 filing deadline, too.
