I was jammin’ to the Humpty Dance on my way to work this morning. Maybe it’s just my new position as the Mercury’s food editor, but I never noticed how many food references Humpty (pronounced with an umpty) from Digital Underground dropped in his eponymous hit. In case you missed it, he’s the one who said “Just grab ‘em in the biscuits.”

I can identify with Humpty—not only because I also “drink up all the Hennesy you have on your shelf,” but I too “once got busy in a Burger King bathroom.” Incidentally, I believe the latter was the key in being hired as the food editor.
