News Return of the Raging Grannies: Good Friday!

Posted by Matt Davis on Tue, Mar 11 at 4:58 PM

It’s that time of year again: The Raging Grannies plan to protest on Good Friday next week outside the Military Recruitment Center on NE Broadway. Last year they daubed the place with red hand-prints done in water soluble paint, then got off an offensive littering charge at trial after the District Attorney compared them to the terrorists who blew up the World Trade Center on 9/11:

“On September 11 some people drove planes into a building to prove a point. The defendants say their conduct is necessary to avoid imminent danger because people dying in Iraq. That is the same thing suicide bombers say.”
Heady days. Let’s hope they’re able to get prosecuted for something else ridiculous and “patriotic,” next week…
