Fashion Have You Seen the New Lucky?

Once again, national press is fawning over Portland, and this time around it’s Lucky Magazine, which in its newly released May issue features Portland stores Nolita, Lille Boutique, Stand Up Comedy, Canoe, Hermitage, Liza Rietz & a broken spoke, Mario’s, Moulé, Odessa, Seaplane, The English Dept.. For avid-followers of local fashion, it’s a must-read. Grab a copy at your local newsstand or just peep it here.

I think that the lady on the cover could have seriously benefitted by being dressed by one of our local boutiques. I can't imagine a fashion magazine I'd want to pick up less than that one.

yea, it's too bad the cover doesn't say something like "secrets to the gorgeous pdx-girl look" instead of that...

God, you're right. I didn't even pay attention to what she's wearing. It's awful. (Did you ever notice that tiny cropped sweaters make anyone who wears them look like a total bitch?)

I may be wrong about this, but I believe Lucky puts out several regional versions of its magazine each month, to highlight shopping in different areas of the country. Still, it is great to have these Portland establishments getting recognition.
