Alex Aronson of the Bus Project says it better than I could, urging you to register to vote by tomorrow (and, perhaps, get a free ice cream cone at the same time). If you haven’t registered before, or you need to re-register as a Democrat to have a say in the upcoming primary, your chances are running out.
I wanted to see if you’d be willing to throw a “Holy Crap it’s the Voter Registration Deadline!!” post up on Blogtown. As you know the deadline is coming up fast—tomorrow at 5pm, and we want to make sure the young folks are all on board the ship.We just had an awesome weekend (thank goodness for sunshine…I swear, people are way more into democracy when it’s nice out). Our volunteers registered over 400 voters, bumping us up to over 6,600 on the year. We’re gunning for 7,000 by tomorrow afternoon. We’ll be cruising the lines all day tomorrow, all across town at Ben & Jerry’s free cone day (in case any of your blogtown readers want to get in on the volunteer action).
Let me know if you think you can swing it. Democracy thanks you ;)

No, Alex, Democracy thanks you. If you aren’t registered, either stop by the county elections office at 1040 SE Morrison, call the Bus Project at 503-233-3018 to find an alternate location for in-person registering. It’s too late to mail in your registration, but it’s not too late to make your vote count on May 20! (And I highly encourage you to volunteer to work those B&J lines tomorrow: The folks at the Bus Project are insanely fun to work with. Proof below.)
Which side of the BJ line do you have to volunteer on?
