Misc Let Rick Astley do the talking

Posted by Unpaid Arts Intern on Wed, Apr 2 at 3:01 PM

Just because April Fools Day is over does not mean pranks must stop, right?

I have to thank the interwebs for making a fad out of Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up.” Man, he sounds/dances like he’s 50 and looks like he’s 20.

(Woo hoo! The Pop Up Video version!)

If you’re living in the stone age and haven’t seen this video or been RickRoll’d* by it, well, you’re behind the times. But worry not! You can one-up everybody else with the new Rick Roll Phone Call!

Send somebody that stupid-ass, horrible 80s song from an unavailable number. It will probably confuse them, and you’ll probably feel better. Hooray! The anonymity of the internet!

* Def. of Rick Roll from urbandictionary.com: To be fooled by a mislabeled video link that takes you to an extremely 80s video of Rick Astley.

The link said it was the latest Jessica Simpson + Zhang Ziyi + Halle Berry sex tape, but I was rick rolled.

does anybody else remember "Astley in the noose" by The Wonderstuff?
Every time somebody mentions him, I think of that tune.
