Posted by Amy J. Ruiz on Tue, Apr 22 at 10:14 AM

No lunch plans today? If you can swing a late lunch hour, head to PSU to check out the candidates vying for Erik Sten’s old seat. All five of them will be at the university. Next week, the Senate candidates are up.

More info:

The candidates will answer five questions posed by a moderator, then the remaining time will be left open for public questioning.

Professor Richard A. Clucas, State and Local Government professor at PSU, will moderate the City Commission forum.

Dr. Herman A. Washington, Political Science professor at PCC, will moderate the U.S. Senate forum.

Students and citizens have a right and obligation to learn about and to get to know their elected officials and what they stand for. The Vanguard is hosting these forums to help better inform the Portland State and Portland communities. All members of the public are welcome. Light refreshments will be served.
