Election 2008 500 votes and Popcorn is Not Nervous

Posted by Patrick Coleman on Tue, May 20 at 10:23 PM

With something like 78% of votes counted, Lewis is around 500 votes in front of his nearest competitor. Popcorn the dog is not nervous. In fact, she seems very excited that things will work out in Lewis’ favor.

Not actually Popcorn…

The fear is that a 500 vote gap could be closed fairly easily, leaving Lewis out of the run-off. Branam is his nearest competitor at the moment and the race might not be decided until the wee hours. There is talk of more tequila shots.

I have narrowly avoided a rumble with the bloodthirsty reporters from the North Portland Sentinel and plan to enjoy an after party at Ron Toms.

Good luck to all.
