Election 2008 Candidate Speed Date—Tonight!

Posted by Amy J. Ruiz on Tue, May 6 at 3:02 PM

The candidates are shining their shoes, washing their hair, freshening their breath, polishing their nails, and doing whatever it is people do before a big first date. Because tonight, they’re going on a date with YOU.

Get to the Someday Lounge early tonight, to snag a coveted speed dating slot. Then grab a drink, and get ready to pepper the candidates with whatever question is on your mind (or, sit back and let the candidates’ do their best to woo your vote). You only get 90 second with each candidate, so they’ll have to make it count! (If you’re shy, you should still come down and listen in on other people’s questions and the candidates’ answers.)

Someday Lounge, 125 NW 5th Avenue, 7 pm TONIGHT, free, 21+

I'm very excited to see how this will all come together! If I bring my ballot, will that make the candidates nervous?

Oh, I get it, "candid-date" "candidate"

Why has no one thought of this before? Suggestion for next year "E(lection)-Harmony, find your soul mate...and put them in office!"

Yep, bring that ballot! I suggest listening to the candidates with your pen poised above the bubble next to their name.

I wanna arm wrestle John Branham! Or, just meet all the dudes running.

I'm really jealous that I didn't come up with this idea...

this is brilliant!
