Politics Does the Homeless Protest Have a Name?

Posted by Amy J. Ruiz on Fri, May 2 at 9:57 PM

If the upcoming city council agenda is any indication, those folks out in front of city hall are the Homeless Liberation Front. Nice.

(And yes, that’s the same Volodymyr Golovan who was busted for his role in collecting signatures for Emilie Boyles spectacularly disastrous public financing bid in 2006. I can’t wait to hear what he has to say.)

It's great to know what you do at 10:00 on a Friday night. Heh.

You going to be at VooDoo tonight?

Volodymyr Golovan

Oh good lord.

I'm confused about his communication item. Is he speaking to suggest the IPRD conduct an investigation into something, AND speaking about the 2006 election, or is he speaking to suggest the IPRD conduct an investigation INTO the 2006 election?

Until about May 21, this is what my Friday night looks like. It's very exciting.

Which means yes, I'm headed to Voodoo shortly.

FYI "Homeless Liberation Front" is the Name Jack Tafari used for the group of protesters that later morphed into Dignity Village.

Golovan will no doubt continue to insist that he was hoodwinked by the ubiquitous perennial candidate Bruce Broussard. You know, the guy who prefaces every sentence with "with all due respect". Golovan and Boyles both insisted Broussard was the mysterious "godfather" who manipulated the VOE elections in '06.

No doubt Broussard will appear on the Lars Larson show in the afternoon, still trying to clear his name. As if he had one to begin with.
