The Grass Hut Gallery sez:

1- J. Otto is coming to town for the release of his new book.

2- Despite his fame, it’s very rare that he makes an “art show”.

3- If you don’t report this show to Portland’s art world you will look like a total douchebag who is totally out of touch

I may BE a totally out-of-touch douchebag, but I sure don’t want to look like one. J. Otto is the very well-regarded illustrator of such books as Penguin Dreams, Olive My Love, and Going to the Getty. He also made this extremely fun website. Public appearances from the man are pretty rare, but he’ll be at the Grass Hut tonight, signing copies of his newest book, Seamore, the Very Forgetful Porpoise.

Grass Hut Gallery, 811 E. Burnside, 6-9 pm. More first Friday info here.
